Andree Korpys born 1966 in Bremen & Markus Löffler born 1963 in Bremen

For over 10 years the research work undertaken by Andree Korpys and
Markus Löffler for their projects and films was conducted in social and
political domains. Historical topographies are considered with a special
symbolism. Generally speaking, political, social and religious events
provide the starting point for their investigative art. The strategy of
artistic formal analysis places the subject in a new context. The artists
weave fictional and biographical threads into their documentary
analyses serving to further underline contradictions and relations,
which lead to construct new associations and opinions. Yet in their
32nd America´s Cup art work they investigate the world´s most
prominent sailing event.

Andree Korpys and Markus Löffler live and work in Berlin and Bremen.
Their art work includes the art categories architecture, installation
and video art, and has been involved in prominent exhibitions worldwide.
